An Indian management consultant was walking around the streets of New York when he was stopped for?an interview?by Instagram channel Salary Scale.

When asked just how much he earns as a management consultant, the New Delhi resident shared that, as a senior manager at one of India's top three consulting firms, he makes between Rs 80,000 and Rs 1.2 crore per year!?

He said, "In India, salaries for management consultants are very standard. So across the top three firms, a person like me – so I'm like a senior manager – someone like that can expect making ?80,000 to ?1.2 crore per annum."

He also mentioned that his job is not only well-paid but also incredibly rewarding.?

The interviewer was blown away by the numbers, calling it a "crazy amount of money" compared to Indian standards.

The consultant explained that recruitment is often done through campus placements.
